Storyline: In this terse psychological thriller Louise (Snodgrass) is a librarian who has devoted her life to caring for her tyrannical, wheelchair-bound father (Milland) after she was left waiting at the altar. Ultimately, Louise decides to kills her father and escape to the attic.

Library focus: Louise is presented as a prim and uptight stereotype librarian. Frances Bay plays her co-worker at the library.
